Loudoun Green Competes in Hunt Country Fall Classic

The Loudoun Vipers closed out their Fall 2013 season by competing in the 2013 Hunt Country Fall Classic this weekend. With 2 games on Saturday, and one on Sunday, it was a full weekend of soccer including a sub-30 degree game on Sunday morning.

Loudoun opened with a match vs NVSC United on Saturday morning and lost 0-4. They had more success later in the day versus the SYS Strikers in a game with goals via penalty kick for both team. Loudoun Green carried a 2-1 lead late into the game but ultimately tied the team from Springfield 2-2.

Sunday morning's game brought urgency to get a victory, but weather was a real factor. Both cold and wind made for ragged play by both the Vipers and their opponent, BAC Invasion from Burke and neither could score in the run of play. Burke got a first half goal, again with a PK, that was the difference in a 0-1 loss for Loudoun.

While the scorelines didn't reflect great results, the Vipers competed hard against teams in higher divisions all weekend and represented LYSA well.
